Butterfly Walk and Talk

Join Ruth Brookes to learn more about butterflies

We are delighted to welcome back Ruth Brookes for another butterfly walk and talk.  She has worked in conservation and habitat management for about 10 years and she is passionate about protecting wildlife. She currently works as the Natural Habitats Supervisor at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew responsible for the wild areas of Kew Gardens many times the size of Pensford Field. She is going to talk again on Friday 26 July at 4pm about butterflies - their role in our ecosystems, the threats they’re facing and how we can help them to thrive.  Hopefully we will also get a chance to identify some butterflies in Pensford depending on the weather.

Water and toilet facilities are available. Accompanied children welcome.  Wear sturdy footwear.

This event is just after the start of the Big Butterfly Count which lasts until 4 August so we hope this talk will encourage you to take part in that as many times as you can.
