London in Bloom Gold Award

Bees love our blooms

Pensford Field has just won Gold in the London in Bloom Conservation Award 2023. We have improved our scores from last year and here are some wonderful comments from the person who judged us.

• it is evident that conservation is at the heart of this site

• the pond was buzzing with damselflies

• the native meadow turf has been a great success and was looking wonderful during my visit

• Pensford Field is well deserving of its place in the gold category and all involved should be very proud or their efforts

Well we are very proud of what has been achieved by us and our predecessors. Many people in Kew have contributed to make the field what it is today and we are delighted that it remains a valuable resource for schools, nurseries, mental health charities and local people.
